Terms of Participation in the Greece Race for the Cure® Volunteer Team:

I have been informed through the website www.greecerace.gr of the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” about the Greece Race for the Cure event and what it entails. I hereby declare that:

  1. I wish to participate as a volunteer in the preparation of the Greece Race for the Cure® (hereinafter, the “Race”) during the period from September 1, 2026 – October 3, 2026, and/or on the day of the Race, which will take place in Athens on October 4, 2026, and is co-organized by the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” and the Organization for Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), with the approval of Think Pink Europe®.
  2. I acknowledge that there is no employment or contractual relationship between myself and the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois,” the Organization for Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), or Think Pink Europe. I am not a member of the salaried staff, a provider of independent services, or an external collaborator of the aforementioned organizations, and therefore I have no claim to monetary or other compensation due to my volunteer work and the performance of the above services for the preparation of the Race during the period from September 1, 2026 – October 3, 2026, and/or on the day of the Race, which will take place in Athens on October 4, 2026.
  3. I understand that the nature of the activities I will undertake as a volunteer during the Race may involve physical activity, contact with strangers or people I do not know well, or other potential risks related to personal injury or accidents. In particular, I bear full and sole responsibility for any injury, damage, or accident that may occur during my voluntary participation in the Race or while I am on the premises where the Race will take place, and I acknowledge that the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois,” the Organization for Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), and Think Pink Europe, as well as the partners of these organizations, their employees, their sponsors, their legal representatives, the members of their Boards of Directors, and their successors, as well as any other natural or legal persons associated with the Race (hereinafter: the “Exempt Parties”) shall bear no liability for any form of physical or emotional harm that may be incurred by me, my family, my heirs, or third parties, during my voluntary participation in the Race and in connection with or in relation to my participation therein. Furthermore, I waive the right to bring any legal action or remedy against the Exempt Parties with respect to any claim that may arise from my participation in the Race, including injuries or damages that may be caused to me or others by falls, contact with other participants, Race conditions, or other related causes. Furthermore, I remain solely and exclusively responsible for my own insurance coverage as well as for any expenses/ expenses that may arise in the event of my physical or other injury or illness resulting from my participation in the Race or in connection with or in relation to my participation in it. Furthermore, I understand that the Exempt Parties bear no liability or obligation to provide me with financial or other assistance, such as—by way of example and not limitation—medical and pharmaceutical benefits or disability benefits, search and rescue costs, evacuation costs, and litigation costs. I further undertake to take appropriate and adequate precautions to protect my health and safety at all levels to prevent the occurrence of the aforementioned risks of harm and to comply with the general rules governing the Race. Finally, the Exempt Parties shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to my personal belongings before, during, or after the Race.

  4. I hereby give my full, informed, voluntary, specific, and explicit consent to the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois,” the Organization of Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), Think Pink Europe, the audiovisual production contractors, the event’s partners, and its sponsors, so that all the aforementioned parties may record and use my image and/or voice, as captured in photographs, videos, audio recordings, or any other recording medium during the Race for the purpose of creating archival video/material for the relevant Race, as well as for the publicity, promotion, and communication of the Race and/or future Races organized by the Organizer, including publication on websites, social media, digital platforms, television, and print media. My personal data referred to above will be retained for a period of 5 years following the completion of the relevant Race, in accordance with the purpose of use described above, after which it will be destroyed in a manner appropriate to the medium in which it is stored. I fully, freely, specifically, and explicitly consent to the use and processing of the personal information I provide on the volunteer registration form by the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” and by persons under the direct supervision of this Association, for the purpose of keeping me informed about the Association’s news and activities, as well as inviting me to events it organizes, by sending me relevant emails and/or making phone calls to my phone number.
  5. The purposes, the legal bases, retention periods, and a full description of your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent) are set forth in detail in the Association’s Privacy Policy, available at www.greecerace.gr.
  6. To exercise my rights as described above, I am aware that I may contact the Data Protection Officer, Mr. Yiannis Kalantzakis, who has been appointed as DPO by the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois.” Furthermore, I have been informed that I have the right to file a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority if I believe that any of my rights have been infringed upon or have not been adequately addressed.
  7. I accept and agree to comply with these terms and conditions. In the event of a violation of these terms on my part, as well as in the event that I fail to comply with any instructions given to me by the Race organizers, I understand and accept that the entities listed in paragraph 3 of this document reserve the right to deny my participation or to terminate my participation in the Race, without prejudice to their right to claim compensation for any direct or indirect damages they may have suffered as a result of the aforementioned violation.
  8. The invalidity, unenforceability, or inability to enforce one or more provisions of these terms shall not imply the invalidity, unenforceability, or inability to enforce the remaining terms as a whole. Any provision that is wholly or partially invalid, unenforceable, or inapplicable shall be deemed not to have been written, while all remaining provisions shall remain binding and in full force and effect. A provision that is declared invalid shall be replaced by another provision with the same effect.
  9. Any failure or delay on the part of the parties referred to in paragraph 3 in exercising their rights under these terms shall not be construed as a waiver of such rights. Any failure to exercise a right or the exercise of a right only in part on their part does not preclude the exercise of that or any other right at a later time.
  10. These terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens.
