Greece Race for the Cure® funds Programs against breast cancer across Greece

All programs offered by "Alma Zois" are provided free of charge to women who have experienced breast cancer.Please do not hesitate to contact us, join any program that you feel may benefit you, or support other women who are facing the same journey.

Psychosocial Support Groups

Through group therapy, women who have experienced breast cancer have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop effective strategies for managing stress and emotional challenges.

Individual Counseling

Women who have experienced breast cancer, as well as their loved ones, can access one-on-one support from a social worker or psychologist - in person, by telephone, or online - finding guidance, understanding and support at every stage of their journey.

Support Helpline

Every year, thousands of women from across Greece receive psychological support through our Support Helpline (+30 210 825 3253). Every call is answered by a qualified psychologist, psychotherapist, or social worker

Genetic Testing and Genetic Counseling

In partnership with the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos," we provide free genetic testing and counseling for breast and ovarian cancer-related genetic mutations to individuals who have experienced breast cancer and their family members.

Legal Counseling

Professional legal guidance on employment rights, insurance coverage, social security benefits, and other issues affecting women with breast cancer.

Meals of Life

Free meal delivery for women undergoing treatment for early-stage or metastatic breast cancer who live alone or with their dependent children in Athens.

Nutritional Counseling

Information and personalized dietary guidance from a qualified nutritionist for women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Quality of Life Programs

Yoga and Pilates classes, a choir, theater workshops, and other wellness activities are offered annually, either at our offices or online. These programs aim to improve patients' quality of life, create meaningful connections with other women, and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Volunteer Peer Support Program

Trained Association volunteers, women who have experienced breast cancer and who have completed the internationally recognized Reach to Recovery training program, provide strength, hope, and emotional support to other women facing the same diagnosis.

Personalized Styling tips

Practical styling consultation tailored to women undergoing treatment, taking into account physical changes and treatment-related side effects that may affect appearance and self-image.

Digital Alma: Digital Literacy program

Digital literacy workshops designed to strengthen the digital skills of women who have experienced breast cancer.

Supporting psychosocial support programs in 3 patients' associations outside Attica for 2 years

Funding to support the delivery of psychosocial support services at the local level for a two-year period.

Workplace breast cancer awareness program

A breast health specialist, a social worker, and a breast cancer survivor - trained volunteer deliver educational presentations to companies, municipalities, and organizations throughout Greece, raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of prevention and early detection.

Funding for "Alma Zois" Associations of Thessaloniki and Achaia

Support for psychosocial care programs delivered by regional Alma Zois organizations.

Monthly themed meetings and activities for Alma Zois’ members and for any woman with breast cancer, designed to promote empowerment, connection, and mutual support.

Donation to an Oncology Patient Guest House

Support toward the operating costs serving cancer patients and their families.

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Annual public awareness campaigns promoting breast cancer prevention and the importance of early detection.
