Everyone Welcome
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience. If breast cancer awareness and support are important to you, if you love events or sports, or if you simply want to contribute to a good cause, this is your opportunity. Come and become part of a great celebration of giving!
Volunteer Kit

Responsibilities
As a volunteer, you actively participate in all aspects of the event, before and/or during the Race. You inform the public, support the effort, and contribute to creating a unique experience for everyone. Choose the role that suits you best based on your interests and availability and see the result of your contribution firsthand on the Race Day!
What Happens After I Register?
We will stay in touch!
Once you register, you will receive an email with all the essential information: details about the first training meeting, collection of your volunteer kit, and useful contact numbers.
Afterwards, the Volunteer Team Coordinator will contact you regarding training and the first activities.

Before the Race
Throughout September there are many areas where you could help!
Distribution of Printed Materials
Volunteers distribute printed materials (posters and leaflets) to partners who are informed and willing to spread Greece Race for the Cure® messages.
Support at the Event Headquarters
If you would like to experience Greece Race for the Cure® behind the scenes, we need volunteers at Alma Zois’ offices to assist with various aspects of the event’s organization.
Event Setup
If you are an organized person, join us on the Friday before the event weekend at Pedion tou Areos as we build the Greece Race for the Cure® Village and prepare the venue.

Race Weekend
Our volunteers are everywhere, helping throughout the event!
Race Kit Distribution
Quickly, with a smile and patience, volunteers distribute race kits to participants who have completed their registration.
Prevention Volunteers
Volunteers at the "Learn About Me" booth inform visitors about breast cancer prevention and early detection methods and distribute educational print material.
Runner Cheering Team
Strong voices, positive attitudes, and uplifting energy! Volunteer cheering teams set the pace along the route and become the driving force that helps runners reach the finish line.
Route Signage
Positioned at key points along the Race and Walk routes, our volunteers monitor the flow of the event, provide directions and guidance about the remaining route.
Queue Management the pick-up point
Our volunteers help manage the flow of people and maintain orderly queues at the pick-up point.
Water Distribution
Our volunteers keep the runners hydrated at Greece Race for the Cure® water stations.
Start / Finish Line Team
Volunteers assigned to the start and finish line inform participants where they should go depending on whether they are taking part in the Race or the Walk, monitor participant flow, identify the first finishers, and encourage participants both at the start and at the finish.
Children's Activities and Workshops
At Pedion tou Areos, play, creativity, and participation come together through activities for children and workshops for all ages throughout GRFC weekend. Our volunteers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of each program and facilitating participation for everyone, creating an open, welcoming, and accessible experience.
Venue Restoration at Pedion tou Areos
After everyone leaves, we stay behind to tidy up Pedion tou Areos and leave it clean. If you would like, you can help!

We are looking for people with positive energy, team spirit, and a willingness to contribute!
02 How can I become a volunteer?
Complete the online registration form!
03 I don't have much time. How many hours do I need to commit?
As many as you can offer!
There is a daily schedule throughout September for all activity areas.
After discussing your availability with the Volunteer Team Coordinator, you will indicate your preferred hours and be assigned to the corresponding shifts.
This means that even if you are working, you can still contribute to the event if you wish.
04 What is the benefit as a member of the Greece Race for the Cure® volunteer team?

05 Can I work in more than one area?
During September, since there are many activity areas, you may volunteer in more than one, depending on your availability.
On Race Day, you will be assigned to one activity area of your choice.
06 I am under 18. Can I join the volunteers team?
Of course. You may participate as long as you have the consent of your parents or legal guardian.
