With every step in Greece Race for the Cure® we support each other!

Every step funds programs for breast cancer patients support, for breast cancer awareness and patients’ advocacy.

The programs funded by Greece Race for the Cure® 2024 and will be implemented in 2025 are:

  1. Group therapy and wellness programs: Psychological support through groups focusing on improving the quality of life of participants.
  2. Legal Counseling & Patient Information: Providing legal assistance and information to patients.
  3. Genetic Counseling & Analysis: Specialized guidance on genetic issues and free of charge analysis of genetic data.
  4. Personalized Counseling from a Nutritionist for Women in Treatment: Offering individualized nutritional advice for women undergoing treatment.
  5. Individual Counseling – Psychotherapy: Personal psychological support through individual psychotherapy sessions.
  6. Peer Support Program for Women with Breast Cancer: Facilitating and strengthening solidarity among women facing breast cancer via a program that allows every patient who wants it to meet and have a talk with a trained volunteer breast cancer survivor. Moreover, our trained volunteers visit weekly 4 hospitals in order to provide peer support to patients.
  7. Helpline for breast cancer patients: Βreast cancer patients and survivors can call daily at 210 8253253 and speak with a Health Psychologist or a Social Worker. 
  8. Workplaces Awareness, Municipalities & Nationwide Organizations: Providing information and raising awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection to the general public in various sectors.
  9. Meals of Life: Meal Distribution Program for Patients Undergoing Treatment. Distributing meals to patients undergoing treatment to support their physical well-being.
  10. Awareness Campaign: Campaigns to raise awareness and provide information about the disease and prevention.
  11. Monthly Member Meetings: “We Meet – We Connect”: Organizing monthly meetings to enhance social support and communication.
  12. Digital Literacy Assistant : Providing help and guidance on digital technology and the internet for breast cancer patients in order to help them navigate through the digital health platforms.
